3.Bellmore Man Found With Cocaine on East Meadow Border: Douglas H. Fromwiller, 48, of Bellmore was arrested Tuesday morning after he was seen acting erratically and found with cocaine in his mouth on the border of East Meadow and North Bellmore.

2.East Meadow Catholics Admire Pope's Decision to Resign: East Meadow Roman Catholics were stunned along with the rest of world by the announcement that Pope Benedict XVI would step down at the end of February. But many said that they respect his decision to do so.

1.East Meadow Pathmark to Close: Managers announced this week that Pathmark on Front Street will close in May after being in East Meadow for 35 years.  However, the landlord of the property said that a number of large businesses are interested in moving into the building.
