UPDATE: East Meadow Man Arrested After Pursuit and Injuring Two Officers:Robert Stein, 54, of East Meadow, was arrested on Jan. 25 in an incident that injured a police officer and led police on a pursuit into Nassau County, Suffolk County Police said.

2.Police Seek Woman Involved in East Meadow Bank Robbery: Police are seeking the public's help in capturing a woman that was involved in a bank robbery in East Meadow on Jan. 27.

NYSDOT Completes Fence on Hempstead Turnpike: The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) completed the installation of a fence on Hempstead Turnpike between Carmen and Franklin avenues in East Meadow. The placement of the fence is part of NYSDOT's initiative to improve pedestrian safety along the 16-mile turnpike.
