Update: September East Meadow Chamber Meeting Postponed
Chamber members will be notified once a new meeting date has been chosen.
Update: The next general meeting of the East Meadow Chamber of Commerce will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m. at Majors Steakhouse, 284 East Meadow Ave. The cost is $25 per person.
Original Article: The East Meadow Chamber of Commerce's Sept. 4 general meeting has been postponed, out of respect for Jewish members who will be observing Rosh Hashanah beginning at sunset Sept. 4.
The meeting will not be held on the following Wednesday either, in memory of the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001.
The meeting was to be held at Majors Steakhouse on East Meadow Avenue. Ronald Friedman, the intended guest speaker, was invited to discuss the privately financed “Twin Rinks” sports complex and recreation center at Eisenhower Park that will feature two NHL regulation-sized rinks and one outdoor recreational hockey rink.
Chamber members will be notified once the September general meeting is rescheduled.
