East Meadow and Levittown will square off in the competition at 7 p.m.

The second annual "Battle of the Books" competition between the East Meadow and Levittown libraries kicks off Thursday night in Levittown.

The popular Suffolk County young adult trivia competition was brought to Nassau last year after librarians saw how successful it had been out there.

Young adults, grades 6-9, form teams at their respective libraries early in the summer to prepare for the event. A total of 12 teens entering grades 6 to 9 participate.
