1. Are you ready for Sandy? Hurricane Sandy, which is currently in the Caribbean, could hit Long Island early next week.

2. A former karate studio has remained vacant on East Meadow Avenue. Share your thoughts on what should fill the vacant space at 12 p.m.

3. Take out the kids for some Halloween fun! DreamCatcher Entertainment will host its Kids Night Out Halloween Party at 7 p.m.

4. In case you missed it, the application for a proposed taxi dispatch center in East Meadow was withdrawn from the Town of Hempstead Board of Appeals.

5. Election day is getting close! Assemblyman Tom McKevitt recently responded to charges leveled against Democrat Kevin C. Brady.
