Geri Zimmerman, an East Meadow resident and Nassau University Medical Center volunteer, recently celebrated her 90th birthday.
Zimmerman has been volunteering with NUMC for 25 years and has worked in many departments. She currently works in the Auxiliary Thrift Shop where she sells items and donates the funds to the hospital.
"Geri's secret is to keep busy and go to work," Shelly Lotenberg, the director of public affairs at Nassau University Medical Center said. "We all wish Geri a very happy and healthy birthday."
