Nassau University Medical Center recently unveiled it's newly remodeled maternity department.
The family waiting room of the area of the unit was renovated through the philanthropic support ofAmy Hagedorn and the Hagedorn Foundation.
“The department of OB/GYN has been recognized for the quality of care given, particularly in the areas of having the lowest C-section rates and the highest VBAC (vaginal births after C-section) rates, Steven Walerstein, executive vice president of medical affairs said. "This is the beginning of providing them with a renovated facility that matches their superb clinical care.”
Hagedorn praised NUMC for the "beautiful" renovation.
“I have watched NuHealth blossom through its leaderships vision and am glad to contribute to this transformation by funding the renovation of the OB/GYN family waiting area,” she said.
