Nassau University Medical Center celebrated World AIDS Day on Dec. 1, by holding a conference with several speakers discussing advances in HIV and the importance of prevention.
"Whenever I want to know up-to-date information about HIV/AIDS, I come to NuHealth," Cesar Nuesi of Circulo de la Hispanidad in Hempstead said.
The conference also included two citations given out by Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby to Dr. Janice Verley of the Center for Positive HEALTH and to Options for Community Living, Inc.
