NuHealth's Team Receives FEMA Emergency Management Training

Hospital staff reviews the proper techniques used during an all-hazards disaster involving mass casualties.

NuHealth’s team of eight received emergency management training provided by FEMA’S Center for Domestic Preparedness in Anniston, Alabama.

The team consisted of staff from the Emergency Department, Safety Department, Administration Department, Nursing Department, Social Work Department, Ambulatory and Medicine Department.

The group participated in healthcare leadership and hospital emergency response training that exposed them to the dynamics involved in the decision-making processes and the proper techniques for monitoring or surveying patients for chemical, biological or radiological contamination during an all-hazards disaster involving mass casualties.
