NuHealth to Hold Ethics Conference at NUMC

The lecture, "Starting the Conversation," will focus on on end of life issues, of particular interest to health care professionals, religious leaders, patients and their families.

NuHealth recently announced that it will be hosting its Second Annual Ethics Conference at Nassau University Medical Center on April 26.

The lecture, called “Starting the Conversation," will focus on on end of life issues, of particular interest to health care professionals, religious leaders, patients and their families.

"Our goal is to provide better care for our patients, ensuring that their wishes on end of life care are discussed and respected,"  Dr. Weiss, chair of the department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at NUMC said.

Health care professionals will discuss how to initiate the talk about end of life care, how different religions approach end of life issues and legal issues behind the matter. A panel discussion will be facilitated to allow the audience to ask questions.

Registration is not required and there is no fee for those attending the conference.
