Here's what's going on today in East Meadow.

Good morning East Meadow! We have reached the midpoint of the week, and many of us have the weekend in our sights. But there is plenty to do in East Meadow today before that happens, so let's take a look.

1. Weather: It projects to be a nice day in East Meadow, with mostly sunny skies and a high near 46 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. It will be a bit windy, so keep that in mind.

2. The Town of Hempstead is offering for safe disposal of all unused/unwanted electronics, including computers, televisions, monitors, DVD/VCR players, cell phones and electronic accessories. Simply leave items by the curb before 6 a.m. just as you would trash or recycling bins, and the Town will haul them away for proper recycling.

3. The will have a tonight at 6 p.m. at in East Meadow. Be sure to come with some business cards to make some new friends!
