Mangano to Open Shower Facilities in East Meadow
In order to service residents who lost power due to Hurricane Sandy, shower facilities will open in three locations in Nassau County on Saturday, including one in Eisenhower Park.
County Executive Edward Mangano announced on Friday that in order to support Nassau County residents who are still suffering from shower facilities will be available at three locations in the county, including one at Nassau County Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park.
“Many of our residents have been inconvenienced while LIPA works to restore power throughout Nassau County," Mangano said. "Accordingly, I welcome anyone who may be in need to visit shower facilities at our County facilities."
On Saturday, Nov. 3 shower facilities will be open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the following locations:
- The Nassau County Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. For more information call (516) 572-0501.

- The Mitchel Athletic Complex, located on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Uniondale. For more information call (516) 572-0400.
