LIPA: More Than 8,000 Without Power in East Meadow

According to LIPA, 8,853 customers have no power.

The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) is reporting that 231,954 homes and businesses in the Town of Hempstead including 8,853 in East Meadow are without power as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Don't seem like we're getting power back anytime soon. Had one section that was on last night but lost power at some point today. Hoping for all the money we pay, LIPA kicks into higher gear
