LIPA: More Than 2,000 Still Remain Without Power in East Meadow

Nine days after Hurricane Sandy hit, thousands of residents are dealing with power outages.

The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) is reporting that 2,908 customers in East Meadow are still without power as of 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, 3,142 were without power.

To report a power outage, contact LIPA online at www.lipower.org and by phone at 1-800-490-0075.
