June 29: Israeli American Night, Cheerleading, Criss Angel

Some things to keep an eye out for in the local community.

Good morning East Meadow. As we reach the midpoint of our week, there's plenty going on before the Fourth of July weekend. Here's a look at some things to watch out for in East Meadow.

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is calling for mostly sunny skies with a high near 82 degrees in East Meadow today. That temperature is expected to remain well into the night.

2. Nassau County and Canon USA will be hosting a series of “International Music Nights” at Lakeside Theatre. Tonight's theme is The start time for the festivities is 7 p.m.

3. children's summer program will run from July 5 to Aug. 12. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, there will be for those between the ages of 12 and 16 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cheerleading program began on June 27. There will be no class on July 4.
