June 22: National Eclair Day, Mommy's Time Out, Prom Photo Tips

A look at some things to keep an eye out for today.

Good morning East Meadow. We've reached the midpoint of our week, and there's plenty going on in East Meadow today. Let's take a look at what's happening in the local community on this Wednesday.

1. Weather:  It's going to be a nasty day in East Meadow today, according to the National Weather Service. The experts are calling for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 a.m. in East Meadow.

2. According to HolidayInsights.com, today is National Chocolate Eclair Day.  Eclairs are a light, crisp pastry filled with a pastry cream. They are most often eaten as a dessert. They can be eaten at every meal or as a snack.

3. Take a break and join Mommy's Time Out in at 1 p.m. today . Guests are asked to bring a food or beverage item for the snack table. The rain date for this play date will be on June 23 at 1 p.m.
