June 20: Blood Drive, Harmonizers, Go Green Gal

Some things to keep an eye out for.

Good morning East Meadow! As we reach the midpoint of our week, there's plenty going on in the local community. Let's take a look at what's happening in or around East Meadow.

1. Weather: It's going to be sunny with a high near 85 degrees in East Meadow today, according to the National Weather Service. There will be a calm south wind throughout the day, experts say.

2. Nassau Community College will be holding the annual from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the College Center Building. This program, run in conjunction with the asks the community to donate blood to sustain our communities' collective health security.

3. As part of the 2011 Summer Concert Series, the Harmonizers, a Barbershop Quartet, at 12 p.m. at the shady area near parking lot 6A. Admission is free, but a Leisure Passport is required.
