July 22: Summer Swimming, Concert, Jobs

A look at some things to keep an eye out for today.

Good morning East Meadow and thank goodness it's Friday! As we head into the weekend, there is plenty going on in East Meadow. Here's a look at some of the events in the local community.

1. Weather: It is going to be sunny and hot, with the high hitting 97 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. Experts say the heat index may hit 107 degrees, so proceed with caution.

2. Interested in having your child participate in at the pool? Regular registration begins at 8 a.m. The second swim session runs from July 25 through Aug. 18.

3. As  part of the 2011 Summer Concert Series, will be performing at the Lakeside Theatre beginning at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Parking is available in Field 6A.
