Jan 24: Rough Cuts, Orientation and Renovations

Here's what's going on in East Meadow on this Monday.

As we enter the last week of January, the temperature continues to drop and the events in East Meadow continue to heat up. For schools, uniform and midterm exams start today, and Patch would like to wish all of the students good luck. Here are some of the things that are happening today in East Meadow.

1. Weather: Get your gloves, ear grips and long johns out East Meadow, because this is going to be the coldest day we've had in a while. The high during the day in East Meadow is only expected to be 16 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Look on the bright side. It should be warmer tomorrow.

2. Tonight marks orientation night for students transitioning from grade eight to nine. starts at 7 p.m. in Little Theatre.
