Here's what is going on this weekend in East Meadow

Another weekend is here for East Meadow, and it is going to be one where the winter clothes are put to the test. As temperatures continue to drop, East Meadow's community has plenty to do this weekend as we head into the last week in January.

1. Weather: It's going to be cold to say the least. On Saturday, the wind chill values go as low as -1 during the day. At night, the weather is slated to be even worse. Get those long johns ready! On Sunday, there is a chance of flurries before noon, but overall, you are looking at a relatively dry weekend.

2. As students prepare for regents week, the is having on both Saturday and Sunday in the Young Adult Room. If you are having trouble staying focused at home, this could be the perfect place to get one final look over your notes.

3. If you are looking for something fun to do on Sunday, the East Meadow Public Library is , who will be singing some urban folk songs in memory of Yetta Shuriff at 2 p.m.
