Jan. 2: First Baby of the New Year, Man Arrested in East Meadow

1. In case you missed it, Baby Sarah was the first child born at Nassau University Medical Center. Welcome to the world little Sarah!

2. A Levittown man was arrested and charged with driving while in intoxicated, resisting arrest, and for being in possession of a stun gun shaped as a cell phone on Tuesday.

3. A fire damaged three businesses on Hempstead Turnpike on Tuesday night.

4. An East Meadow writer will be a quest speaker at the Long Island Writers' Guild on Thursday. Read more about author at 2 p.m.
