Jan 13: Van Tries to Lure East Meadow Boy, School Aide Honored

Some things to keep an eye out on in the local community.

  1. Just days after Nassau Police reported that a van followed a Bellmore student home from school, Patch has learned that a van tried to lure a 6-year-old East Meadow boy last September. For the full story, click here.

Although a majority of the North Merrick School Board meeting was dedicated to discussing the latest improvement projects in the district, the highlight was right at the beginning when the board honored Patricia Mormoris, an aide at Camp Avenue School that performed the Heimlich Manuever on a child.
