Free Military Tennis Festival in East Meadow

The United States Tennis Association will offer free lessons to all active duty military, veterans, wounded warriors and their families at Eisenhower Park.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) will offer free tennis lessons to all active duty military, veterans, wounded warriors and their families at Eisenhower Park, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announced Thursday.

The event, “Military Family Tennis Play Day,” will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In this first year, the USTA will reach, serve and support the military with direct services impacting more than 100,000 service members and their families, according to a press release. The volunteer effort includes over 1100 Community Tennis Associations, NJTL chapters, Tennis Welcome Centers and tennis organizations around the country.
