Feb. 22: School's Out, Playoffs and Grandma's Back

Here's what's going on in East Meadow on this Tuesday.

Good morning East Meadow. Schools are out this week for winter break, and it looks like the cold weather has returned. After seeing some of the white stuff the last couple of days, you might be feeling a bit down. But there's plenty to do, so get your mind off the cold weather with something to do in East Meadow!

1. Weather: It's going to be mostly sunny today, with a high near 28 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Get those thermals out, because it's going to be cold out there!

2. Looking for an event for your kids? Well Mommy's Time Out, which is a group of parents who network in East Meadow, is having a for kids at Wood Kingdom in Farmingdale at 6 p.m. Come check it out, and maybe your kids will make some new friends!

3. Who is ready for some playoff basketball? Head on down to at 2 p.m. as the Boys Basketball team takes on Great Neck South in the first round. It should be a hard-fought battle as the number four and five seeds go head-to-head.
