Feb. 18: St. Francis, Kids Event and Obstetrics

Here's what's happening on this Friday in East Meadow.

Thank goodness it's Friday! We have the weekend looking right into our face, and the weather continues to get nicer. Does it get any better than this? Let's check out some of the things going on in East Meadow on this Friday.

1. Weather: I feel like a broken record talking about it getting nicer every day, but I am going to say it again. It's going to be mostly cloudy outside, with a high near 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. I guess the groundhog was right after all.

2. will be at the from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide preliminary cardiac screenings including simple cholesterol and diabetes testing for those over 18 years of age.

3. All kids are invited to come with their caregiver to a special at at 9:30 a.m. Activities such as parachute play and story time will occur. A $1 suggested donation per child per week is suggested in order to buy supplies for the group. Children should bring a drink and snack with them.
