Feb. 17: Board of Ed, Chocolate Tasting and Non-Profits

Here's what's going on in East Meadow on this Thursday.

Welcome to Thursday, East Meadow. This is probably the last hard day we need to get through in the week, and luckily for us, the weather will make it that much easier. Also, there are plenty of things to keep us busy, so let's take a look at what's happening in East Meadow.

1. Weather: If you thought it was nicer earlier in the week, you haven't seen anything yet. The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies with a high of 54 degrees. That should help us make a serious dent in the snow that still sits on the ground.

2. The Board of Education will have its at the at 8 p.m. tonight. Be sure to stop by at 7 p.m. for a Terrific Kids celebration beforehand.

4. A Look Back: In case you missed it Wednesday, our East Meadow Patch Moms Council tackled one of the harder issues facing parents today. If a child acts up in public, is it all right to punish him publicly? How should you go about doing so? It's not too late to let your voice be heard!
