Feb. 1: Snow, Health Lecture and Basketball

Here's what's going on in East Meadow on Tuesday.

It seems like every other day that we are talking about snow, and today is no different. The weather gurus are projecting snowfall today, and it looks like some of our plans may be thrown in flux today in East Meadow.

1. Weather: It's going to be ugly in East Meadow to say the least, according to the National Weather Service. It looks like we are going to see snow and sleet in the morning with freezing rain and sleet in the afternoon. Total snow accumulations are expected to be in the 3-5 inch range. Driving conditions will be far from ideal.

2. North Shore LIJ will be hosting a health lecture, titled "Agony of De Feet," at 5 p.m. in the .

3. There are four basketball games scheduled for today, although Mother Nature may have something to say about that. visits Herricks at 6:30 p.m., and the at 7 p.m. Clarke Boys at 7 p.m., and the at 7:30 p.m.
