Pocket Change to Make a Change will host its Sandy Claus Toy Drive on Saturday and Sunday.

The event will include music, food and local vendors. Residents are asked to donate new unwrapped toys for children of all ages, gift wrap, bags, tags and holiday cards.

The organizations would also like donations for adults such as: gift certificates (grocery stores, department stores, movie rental stores, toy stores, restaurants, gas stations, and movie theaters) Metro Cards, bowling passes, movie passes, certificates for tanning, manicures and hair cuts and passes for holiday and Broadway shows.

Pocket Change to Make a Change was started by East Meadow residents, Michael Gordon, Kathleen Bracker and Matthew Dosil in 2011. The organization has volunteered and raised money for natural disasters such as the 2011 tsunami in Japan, Hurricane Katrina and for hurricanes that have hit Florida.

The drive will take place at 2469 4th Ave. on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you are interested in donating supplies or volunteering at the Sandy Claus Toy Drive, contact Michael Gordon at (516) 965-8451 or email him at giveback@live.com.
