East Meadow Kiwanis Celebrates K-Family Month

Presidents of Kiwanis organizations were honored at a special meeting.

The East Meadow Kiwanis Club recently celebrated K-Family Month. During the "special" gathering, the East Meadow Kiwanis Club honored each club president for their special commitment to working with one another and the East Meadow Kiwanis Club as a K-Family.

Each President received the NYD Kiwanis Pediatric Lyme Disease Foundation’s Joseph Michael Wuest Service Leadership Fellowship, which recognized their contribution to the PLD Foundation through the East Meadow K-Family Bowling Fundraiser.

Leaders who had previously earned the Joseph Michael Wuest Fellowship accepted it on behalf of a club member of their choosing.

“These leaders are especially committed to serving our community and the world by working as a family and with their sponsoring the Kiwanis Club," Kiwanis Service Leadership Chair Rich Santer said. "Each of these young leaders have encouraged their club to work with the other branches of the K-Family in ways that are new and exciting.  They show us that we can do more together.”
