East Meadow Eagle Scout Honored For Volunteer Work

Matthew McMahon installed a low voltage lighting system behind St. Brigid's Parish Outreach Center in Westbury.

Matthew McMahon, an East Meadow Boy Scout, was recently given an Eagle Court of Honor for his volunteer work.

McMahon installed a low voltage lighting system behind St. Brigid’s Parish Outreach Center in Westbury.

His project consisted of lighting the concrete path with cast deck lights, mounting the lights on PVC fence posts and digging a small trench alongside as well as underneath the pathway for the wiring to be buried. He then connected the wiring to the transformer in the basement of the parish.

Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves attended the ceremony.
