Ironic that the same group fought against a new business in East Meadow is discussing "ideas for attracting new business to EM"

Since one of the topics listed in the story are "Ideas for attracting new business will also be discussed".. The answer is that no one from "The newly-formed Merrick Avenue Civic Association" or its President should say a word. The president of the organization already created a negative atmosphere for businesses who wanted to call East Meadow their home due to a political agenda that she and the group have........

The main idea in attracting new businesses to East Meadow is to NOT chase them away in the first place, Pat Maher!! You created total havoc about Sonic where there was absolutely no need for it. I guess if another business is interested in East Meadow Plaza, you'll still stand and scream about "the bars in the shopping center"?? I cannot wait to see that again! Where were you when Rita's Ices opened all those years ago?? The same "bars" (and it's really ONE bar and 2 clubs) were there then and I didn't hear you screaming about the bars then. Why don't you leave the business of East Meadow to those who understand it since clearly you don't.
