Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County (CCE) will hold its first Fall Farm Festival on the East Meadow Farms property on Friday and Saturday.
The free event will take place at the new which was occupied by the former Friendly Farms at 832 Merrick Ave., on Oct. 12 and Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival will include organic vegetables and fruits as well as butterfly, herb and rose gardens. There will also be horticultural, nutritional and autumn craft presentations.
CCE is an educational subordinate governmental agency association that provides research-based information and educational programs for communities. The organization, which was established in 1914, is committed to building healthy lifestyles and healthy communities by conducting educational programs that connect Cornell University resources to Nassau County.
