It was a busy week on Bellmore, Merrick and East Meadow Patch, and your neighbors shared a number of stories pertaining to the local community.

- Teenage Road Rage: I recently had to deal with a neighbor's kid and their road rage. It was ugly. I was in my car with my 18 year old driving and I was in the front passenger seat.
- Merrick Jewish Center Welcomes New Assistant Rabbi: The Merrick Jewish Centre (www.merrickjc.org) has announced that Rabbi Ravid Tilles has been named to the new position of Assistant Rabbi.
- Daisy Girl Scouts Troop #1563: Daisy Girl Scout Troop #1563 will be starting Sept. 26 for girls entering Kindergarten in the East Meadow School District.
- Support Lady Rebels 10u Softball as They Head to Regionals: The NBNM Lady Rebels 9 & 10 year old softball team is heading to Old Forge, PA this weekend to compete in the week long Williamsport Regional Tournament representing the State of New York.
- School Supply Collection — Bellmore Collection Sites: The LI Coalition for the Homeless is conducting its eighth annual school supply collection for children in need on Long Island.
- Assistant Teacher for Local Nursery School: Part-time position for assistant teacher, working within the framework of the nursery school, assist the assigned teacher, supervising a given group of children.
