On Wednesday, the Town of Hempstead Board of Appeals will be holding a meeting for a building at 2279 Clearmeadow Drive and Hempstead Turnpike. Previously, a taxi dispatch center was proposed for the property.
333 All Seasons Realty Corp., which plans to convert the dwelling into an office, is seeking authorization to have less parking than what is required by the code.
In October, residents spoke out against the proposed taxi dispatch center at the location because they said it would threaten the safety of their children and bring down the area's property values. The application for it was eventually withdrawn.
The hearing will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at One Washington Street in Hempstead.
