Some things to keep an eye out for today.
Good morning! Let's take a look at five things to keep an eye out for in Bellmore, Merrick and East Meadow on this Wednesday.
- How did Sept. 11 change you? We are looking for Bellmore, Merrick and East Meadow residents who have stories about how Sept. 11 affected their lives. For more information, please contact Michael Ganci at Michael.Ganci@patch.com, Danielle De Souza at Danielle.DeSouza@patch.com or Emily Cappiello at Emily.Cappielo@patch.com.
- Two incoming Hofstra freshmen faced off in a dorm decorating contest sponsored by the Today Show that is scheduled to air Wednesday on NBC. The girls were from Merrick and Westbury, and the latter graduated from W.T. Clarke High School.
- There's a new dog run coming to East Meadow, and Nassau County representatives hope it will be ready by fall. Where is the dog run going to be located? Check back at 1 p.m. on East Meadow Patch to find out.
- Check out this week's Bellmore Whiz Kid, Sara Kullins. Not only is Kullins the first recipient of the Coach Hughes Memorial Scholarship, but she also runs track. Check the link for the full story.
- As part of the 2011 Eisenhower Park Summer Concert Series, the Terry Nova Little Big Band will be performing on at noon in the shady area near parking lot 6A. Admission is free, but a Leisure Passport is required.
