Some things to keep an eye out for today.

Good morning East Meadow. I hope you had an excellent weekend. As residents prepare to head out to the polls to vote on the proposed Nassau Coliseum plan, there's plenty happening in the local community. Here's a look.

1. Weather: There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service. Experts are calling for a high near 89 degrees, with the chance of rain sitting at 30 percent.

2. Join the for a "Cooking Around the World" series. The session will feature a and shake workshop. There is a $10 materials fee.
