Here are some things to keep an eye out for in East Meadow today.

Good morning East Meadow and TGIF! The weekend is finally here, and there's plenty happening. Many East Meadow residents are preparing for the Long Island Marathon, for which Patch will have full coverage, but here are some things to look out for today.

1. Weather: It looks like we have a beautiful day on tap, according to the National Weather Service. Experts are predicting 65 degrees in East Meadow, with mostly sunny skies throughout the day. Winds are expected to be moderate throughout today as well.

2. Senator Kemp Hannon will be holding a from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at parking field 2 (which is located near the playground).
