Here are some things to know today in East Meadow.

Good morning East Meadow. As we edge closer to the weekend, there are plenty of events happening in East Meadow today. Here's an early look at some things you may want to keep an eye out for.

1. Weather: There's a good chance of showers or thunderstorms today in East Meadow, according to the National Weather Service. There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation, with wind gusts possibly exceeding 30 mph. It could certainly be a day where being inside is preferred.

2. There will be a tonight at 8 p.m. in the Come on down and voice your concerns as we edge closer to the big budget vote.

3. The Theatre and Dance departments at Nassau Community College Doubt follows a nun who suspects that a priest at the church is committing misconduct with some of the altar boys. Viewers are usually caught between thinking the nun is protecting the boys or if she just has a sort of disdain for the priest. Tickets are $9 per person, $7 for seniors and students.
