Good morning East Meadow. There are plenty of things happening for East Meadow residents to keep an eye out for, so let's take a look. Here's what's going on in East Meadow today.

1. Weather: There's a chance of showers today in East Meadow, according to the National Weather Service. This is expected to arrive after 9 a.m., although the chance of precipitation is only 30 percent. The high temperature is expected to hit 73 degrees.

2. Parents are rejoicing in East Meadow today, as schools resumed. Children had been off since their last day of school on April 15.

3. Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg presents with MTA Long Island Railroad (LIRR) representatives regarding the Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Seaford and Wantagh LIRR stations. This will take place at the Merrick Library.
