Here's what's happening on this Friday in East Meadow.

Thank goodness it's Friday East Meadow! As we all prepare for the weekend, there are plenty of things to do today. Let's take a look, shall we?

1. Weather: The National Weather Service is calling for mostly cloudy skies, but it should be a dry one with the high hitting 47 degrees.

2. Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS) hosts its at the , with guest speaker Rosanna Scotto. Honorees are Margaret M. McGovern, MD, PhD, Stony Brook Long Island Children's Hospital and Kevin S. Law, Long Island Association. Reservations are required, as is a $100 donation. The luncheon begins at 11 a.m.
