#93- Remember Our Heroes at Eisenhower Park

There are several reasons to visit the memorials in East Meadow.

A common place to remember those lost sits in our own backyard in East Meadow.

is not just known for the concerts, bike trails and softball fields, but it has many other features as well, perhaps the memorials being the most cherished.

There is a fireman's memorial and the Sept. 11 memorial to remember those who have sacrificed for our freedom. Every year, thousands visit these memorials to remember friends, family or just to simply pay respect.

The Sept. 11 memorial features a wall with the Long Islander's lost in the attacks of that horrid day. There is also a piece of the World Trade Center displayed for the public. These memorials are a nice touch to an already beautiful Eisenhower Park.
