Philippine Disaster Relief Event

Immediately after the news that Typhoon Haiyan hit the media, I received dozens of calls from friends concerned with the safety and outcome of the Philippines.  As a Filipino-American, born in Cebu and raised in New York, I was absolutely overwhelmed and moved by their outpouring of love and support. Their selflessness has inspired me to help with the relief efforts and give back, not just to my immediate family, but to as many of the hundreds of thousands who are now left hungry and homeless as a result of this super storm.

International Organizations are providing relief efforts but there are still so many in need of the very basic necessities; food, clean water and shelter.  I am asking anyone who is interested in supporting the cause to come join me at a fundraiser to be held at Diletto's Restaurant in Westbury, N.Y. on December 15, 2013. The season for giving is here.  Please help out so many who are in need.  Visit the event website to purchase tickets and view event details
