Synde Cohen’s class at McVey Elementary school was recently presented with a Town of Hempstead Citation from Supervisor Kate Murray to honor their Parents as Reading Partners (PARP) Program, according to the Town. Murray also served as a guest reader for the children.
Additionally, Town of Hempstead Supervisor Mark Bonilla served as guest reader for Mrs. McCreedy’s second grade class at McVey.
PARP, a New York State PTA program, encourages children to become lifelong readers with the assistance of their parents.
