The NuHealth Therapy Center at celebrated Children's Mental Health Awareness, with a special focus on bullying and trauma.
The newly opened center offers numerous services that touch the lives of patients and families struggling with emotional, behavioral, social and medical issues. The program is designed to help those between 4 and 21 years of age and their families to address maladaptive, self-destructive behaviors.
Individual, family and group therapy are an integral part of the NUMC Therapy Center’s recovery-focused approach. Free mental health screenings for ADHD and childhood depression were also conducted in the main lobby of the Nassau University Medical Center during the awareness event.
