Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano was on hand at to congratulate the winners of the 2011 Long Island Marathon’s “Festival of Races” 10K race, held on May 6.
“Whether you have come in first, last, or the middle, there is great satisfaction in saying “I have finished,” said County Executive Mangano. “The friendships and memories that our participants made during the weekend’s “Festival of Races” are victories that will last forever. I congratulate each of our winners and invite them all back to run again next year!”
