November 11th, Rotary Districts 7250 and 7260 will be honoring Veterans from United States engagements ...World War 11, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. We are seeking Veterans from all Rotary Clubs, as well as those in your local communities to be recognized in a commemorative program book and they and their families will be entertained with a concert by the Band Of Long Island, conducted by long-time Rotarian Michael Flamhaft, followed with dance swing music provided by the Stage Band of the Amityville High School where this Veteran's Day Event is being held.
In addition to honoring Veterans, this event is designed to provide them with help, especially those Veterans returning from recent engagements overseas. November 11th, Rotary is launching Operation Initiative by introducing an important new resource manual for Military Veterans ... services which they may not even be aware of because they are rarely listed in the same place. With the help of Rotary Clubs we want to distribute the Operation Initative Manual as widely as possible.
