'The Americans' Filming in East Meadow

FX television show filming Monday in Eisenhower Park and Westbury.

A television film shoot will affect traffic in and around East Meadow Monday, according to Nassau County officials.

The FX television series, "The Americans," featuring Keri Russell will be filming in two locations.

Corporate Drive behind the Source Mall in Westbury will be closed from 7 to 11 a.m.

"We are going to be shutting down Corporate at Zeckendorf for about 500 feet," County Spokesperson Brian Nevin confirmed.

At around 5 p.m., the film crew will be in Eisenhower Park.

"They have received permission to do a stunt in the park and we will be closing Northbound traffic at Hempstead Turnpike while they do it," Nevin said.

Film crews are also putting a fake tree in along Park Boulevard. The scene calls for a car to crash into a tree.

The 1980s Cold War drama features Soviet KGB officers have been trained to impersonate American citizens.

"The Americans" premieres on Jan. 30 at 10 p.m. on FX.
