Police Looking for Westbury Robbers

The assault occurred just after 4 a.m. Friday.

Police are looking for a man who assaulted a 24-year-old in Westbury Friday morning, according to officials.

According to the police report, a 24-year-old male was walking in the vicinity of Grand Street and Asbury Avenue just after 4 a.m. when two unknown subjects allegedly attacked him from behind. One subject pushed the victim down, and then the two assailants kicked him. The perpetrators then stole a cell phone and unknown amount of money from the victim, and they fled eastbound on Asbury Avenue.

The victim was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The first subject is described as being in his early twenties, 5’11”, wearing blue jeans, a khaki hooded sweatshirt and short black hair. The second man is described as being in his early twenties, 5’9”, blue jeans, gray hooded sweatshirt with short black hair, according to the police report.
