Police Arrest Suspect in Multiple Nassau Robberies
Frank Jackson allegedly committed three robberies and attempted another over a two-month span, including one in East Meadow.
A Lakeview man was arrested Friday in connection with several Nassau County robberies, including one in East Meadow.
Police allege that 47-year-old Frank Jackson committed three robberies over a two-month span. One of those robberies occurred at Roslyn Savings Bank in East Meadow on Jan. 9. No customers were present at the time of that robbery, according to police, and no injuries were reported.
The other robberies occurred in Freeport on Nov. 22, 2011 and in West Hempstead on Jan. 12. Police also allege that Jackson attempted a robbery at a Hempstead bank on Jan. 12, but no money was taken during the incident.
Jackson was arrested without incident Friday night in Hempstead. He is charged with three counts of third-degree robbery, one count of third-degree attempted robbery and one count of false personation. He will be arraigned Sunday in First District Court.
