A Jamaica man was arrested Monday for DWI after he was caught driving the wrong way in East Meadow, police say.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Dave McNab, 43, of Montego Bay, was observed driving his Ford Explorer eastbound "in an erratic manner" on Hempstead Turnpike at around 4:45 a.m.

After making a right onto Third Street, McNab allegedly made a right on to Fourth Street, which is a one-way road, and traveled a short distance in the wrong direction. After being pulled over, police say that an open container of beer was in the front console, and McNab was placed under arrest.
